This weekend will be a busy but very exciting one for Trinity-St. Stephen’s! Saturday evening will be spent with the fabulous Maritime Brass Quintet. These five outstanding musicians, will prepare us for Easter morning by playing a concert in our church at 7:30 Saturday evening. Tickets are available at the Church Office, from Choir members, and at the door.

The Maritime Brass is staying over in Amherst in order to play for the service on Sunday morning!  The Choir and organ will be doing a quickie rehearsal with the congregation at 10:15 am on Sunday morning to prepare for the last hymn. It is an arrangement of the wonderful Easter hymn “Hail The Day That Sees Him Rise” for Choir, Brass and Congregation. Lots of musical fireworks! Please come a little early and we will meet you in the sanctuary at 10:15 am.

And if all this isn’t enough, after the service on Sunday, the Trinity Youth Singers will be holding a cookie sale in Burgess Hall during coffee time to help raise funds for the choir to take “Rescue In The Night” on the road. On Sunday May 3, the TYS have been invited to Woodlawn United Church in Dartmouth to present their musical. You can help the choir with their fundraising by making a donation and taking home some fresh, home made baked goods to enjoy with Easter dinner!

As always, thanks for your support. But this Easter why not bring invite a friend to our concert Saturday night and as well, to our service on Sunday morning. I guarantee that the joy of the music will dispel any snow drifts we still may have around!

See you in church!
